Sent an email to the Edmonton Police Service asking how I would make a criminal complaint against my babysitter for what he had done to my brother and I from the fall of 1978 until the spring of 1980
Contacted by the CFNIS.
Informed that the military would be investigating this matter.
Was asked who specifically told me that the military police couldn’t investigate.
Mentioned 1984 and 1990 when I was told in person at Namao that the MPs couldn’t investigate due to civilian status.
As a result of my email the Edmonton Police Service contacts the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team.
My email is directed to a member of the CFNIS that is on secondment to ASIRT.
The CFNIS investigator on secondment to ASIRT contacts WO Hart directly and passes on my email, but is of the opinion that civilian on civilian child sexual assault investigations are the purview of the CFNIS
CFNIS MWO Eisenmenger instructs WO Hart to contact EPS and inform EPS that CFNIS has SOLE jurisdiction.
MWO Eisenmenger admits that it would have been the RCMP in 1980 that would have had jurisdiction.
MWO Eisenmenger instructs WO Hart to check RCMP Probe Records.
WO Hart called my phone and left a message for me to contact him
WO Hart wanted to know who told me that I needed to go the the civilian police.
Explained to WO Hart about the attempt in 1984 and the attempt in 1990
I was interviewed at VPD HQ in Vancouver by CFNIS Investigator Mcpl. Robert Hancock with Sgt. Matthew Ritco taking notes.
Interview was fine, but it felt like Hancock was fishing for other information during the interview. This made me uncomfortable.
I was contacted by Mcpl Cyr.
Mcpl Cyr informed me that the babysitter was only 12 or 13 in 1980.
Mcpl Cyr also brought up the topic of Captain McRae.
When I mentioned the visits to the chapel with the babysitter, he dismissed this.
